NEW! NEW JERSEY STUDENT LEARNING ASSESSMENT-ADAPTIVE
The New Jersey Department of Education has updated the state assessment administered to students in grades 3 through 8. Due to new state requirements, the district has had to adjust our testing calendar. Please CLICK HERE for details regarding the new adaptive assessment and our updated testing dates.

Sports Pictures
PhoTSS Photography will be coming to Readington Middle School on Thursday, March 26th for Baseball & Softball, and on Friday, March 27th for Lacrosse & Track to take individual photos of all spring sports athletes. We’re excited to provide families with the opportunity to get a professional photo of their middle school athlete in uniform.  Photos will be taken during team practices immediately after school.  Parents/guardians simply need to complete the form to receive more information.  Click here for information with pricing and package details

We are happy to invite incoming 7th grade students to our program this year.  Join us for Cooking/Baking, Running & Sports, Singing/Performing Arts, Arts & Crafts &/or STEM! 
In addition to participating in our program, 7th grade students have the option of joining our "Spark Squad" to gain leadership experience and earn service credit alongside their enjoyment of the program.

If your child is planning on attending a high school other than Hunterdon Central, please email a copy of your child’s high school acceptance letter to the attention of Ms. Andrea Hruska at ahruska@readington.k12.nj.us and Ms. Ellen Goodfellow at egoodfellow@readington.k12.nj.us

At the end of the school year, Mrs. Hruska will send your child’s school cumulative records to their respective high schools.  Without a letter of acceptance on file, all school documents will automatically be forwarded to Hunterdon Central High School.

Spring Sports Tryouts 2026
Tryouts begin on Tuesday, March 17th, through Friday, March 20th, from 2:35 pm to 4:30 pm. Athletes should attend all 4 days of tryouts for the best possible chance to make the team. Equipment can be stored in the following locations each day before school:
Baseball - Back Gym Boys Locker Room
Boys LAX - Front Gym Boys Locker Room
Girls LAX - Back Gym Girls Locker Room
Softball - Front Gym Girls Locker Room
Track - Their Student Locker

When tryouts conclude each day, athletes can be picked up in the following locations:
Baseball - RMS Upper Parking Lot
Boys LAX - RMS Bus Loop
Girls LAX - RMS Bus Loop
Softball - HBS Softball Field
Track - HBS BOE Parking Lot

Parent Nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program
The Readington Township School District will begin accepting parent nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program for students in 1st-7th grade on February 1st. All parent nomination forms must be completed online no later than March 21st.  Since the assessment process will begin immediately following the nomination deadline, late entries cannot be accepted.

Families are invited to join a Virtual Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, March 18 from 12:00–1:00 PM focused on Partnering for Success: Understanding Your Rights in Special Education. This session will be presented by Michele Gardner, Executive Director of All In for Inclusive Education, and will provide families with helpful information about parental rights, navigating the special education process, and ways to effectively partner with schools to support student success.

After a successful first run in December, we’re excited to bring back another special movie event for Readington families.  Come enjoy a morning of adventure, teamwork, and classic Nintendo fun as Mario, Luigi, and the gang take to the stars in Super Mario Galaxy. It’s a great way to spend time with family, connect with the community, and support our schools.

March 17, 7 PM - 7th/8th grade band with the Whitehouse Wind Symphony (RMS)
March 18, 6 PM - HBS Talent Show (HBS)
March 20, 7 PM - Java and Jams (RMS)
March 24, 7 PM - Showcase of Music (RMS)
We are looking for donations of snacks and water to sell at the performances, and also for some volunteers to work the snack tables.

All lost and found items are on display in the front vestibule / main entrance of RMS.  Doors will be open during parent teacher conferences Thursday and Friday of this week.  Please be sure to check for any items your child may have lost.  All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of next week.

STRATEGIC PLANNING GRADES 6-8 PARENT FORUMS - The Readington Township learning community is preparing for the development of its 2026-2031 Strategic Plan. As part of this process, all parents will soon have the opportunity to respond to an online survey that includes open-ended questions and opportunity for comment. Additionally, all parents are invited to join a virtual forum and/or an in-person forum with our facilitator, Judith Wilson. The forums are voluntary and no notes will be attributed to individuals. Parents of students in grades 6-8 are invited to join the following virtual forum: March 5 @ 7:00 p.m. / Grades 6-8 Parents Virtual An in-person forum will be held on March 4th at 1:00 PM in the Board Office conference room attached to Holland Brook School at 52 Readington Road. While we have reserved specific times for each grade-band in the district, please review all forum dates and times on our website and feel free to attend the one most convenient for you. Your ideas and recommendations will provide valuable input for this important work.

If your child is planning on attending a high school other than Hunterdon Central, please email a copy of your child’s high school acceptance letter to the attention of Ms. Andrea Hruska at ahruska@readington.k12.nj.us and Ms. Ellen Goodfellow at egoodfellow@readington.k12.nj.us

At the end of the school year, Mrs. Hruska will send your child’s school cumulative records to their respective high schools.  Without a letter of acceptance on file, all school documents will automatically be forwarded to Hunterdon Central High School.

Spring Sports
Spring sports are right around the corner! This season, students can participate in baseball, lacrosse, softball, and track. The deadline to register for spring sports is Friday, March 6th, 2026. If you need a copy of the required paperwork, please visit the nurse’s office. Don’t miss your chance to join a team this spring!

Parent Nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program
The Readington Township School District will begin accepting parent nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program for students in 1st-7th grade on February 1st. All parent nomination forms must be completed online no later than March 21st.  Since the assessment process will begin immediately following the nomination deadline, late entries cannot be accepted.

Summer Spark Enrichment Program
Welcome all incoming K - 7th grade students.  Join us for Arts & Crafts, Cooking/Baking, Running & Sports & Singing/Performing Arts &/or STEM! 7th grade students have the option of joining our Spark Squad to gain leadership experience and earn service credit alongside their enjoyment of the program experience.
